I did something similar here for another show. This is all the set on stage at once mind you... Somewhere I have photos of just the "I beam".
Built it similarly. But I added a piece on the ground coffin-locked on so it could be removed and moved the drama cubes off stage... The whole beam was actually flown out when it was not needed.
Mind you this was over a decade ago and very much at a small community theatre.
Was a lot of fun!
