There was a stampede after a tent show featuring DMA at the Falls Festival in Lorne on Victoria's south-west coast in Australia. Amazingly no-one was killed, although there were at least 60 injuries and 19 hospitalizations after the stampede.
There appeared to not be enough exits out of the tent and the crowd's exodus became a stampede after some people lost their footing and panic spread throughout the crowd. Work Safe (Australia's version of OSHA) said that a combination of too few exits and uneven ground contributed to the stampede as fans rushed from one headline act - DMA's in the large Grand Theatre tent - to see another - London Grammar on the Valley Stage - just before 10pm.
