Alternate method of connecting to a transformer that does not use a neutral. Connections are made in a triangular configuration resembling the greek letter delta: ∆.

It is important to note that for equal current on each of the phases, the actual line current on L1, L2, and L3 is 1.73 x the phase current.
Thus a 100A 3-phase delta load draws 173A on L1, L2, L3.
