Give a call around to a few of the theatres around you and see if you can rent one. Really, that is the best way to go. It will give you the look you want and the functionality. Also, tattoo shops sometimes have them and you might be able to rent one from them.

A local community theatre company around these parts got a reclining bucket seat from our auto shop and it looked like it might just work. If you went to a wreckers, you could probably get a wider variety of "looks." If you can get the real deal, though, it would probably look better.

Also companies that rent Audry often rent the chair and gas mask etc.

+1 on the tattoo shops, call them all, see if anyone is getting rid of one. If you can afford it, see if they are in need of replacing an old one, and offer to buy it from them (at a discount) to offset their cost of buying a new one.

Couldn't hurt to call all the local dentists either...
