    Just wondering,

How often do you clean the dust out of your dimmers?

Depending on where they are kept and how much they are used. I will at least give them a good cleaning every year but if needed will clean them at a minimum of once a month. If you see a good amount of dust then its time to clean.

Like Digitaltec said--it depends a lot on your surroundings. At our theater we blow out our dimmers twice a year but our dimmers are located far from the sceneshop....

LOL! If we did that at our theatre, our dimmers would die from dust!

Here here! Our facility is technically "run" by the city of phoenix. We have to call city people in to do the most ridiculous things. grrrr...

anyhoo, this is another thing i would like to do in our facility. i'm new to our space and am attempting to go through literally everything in all three stages.

we have i series racks from colotran. cleaning vents and filters looks standard. any input on cleaning dimmer module and control module air intake openings? i need to be the least invasive as possible.
