Dimmer Doublers problem

Ok so I'm just starting to work with Dimmer Doublers. I understand that I have 77v lamps in both sides of the dimmer Doubler. I also made sure that that it's plugged in is a D20AF eventhough it's not needed as well as setting my output configuration on the Expression 3 to double mode. plugging thed into dimmer 22, and patch everything one to one, my problem lays when I bring up channel 22, Both sides A & B come on same time. Why? Even when I only bring up 278 which is 22 +256 nothing comes on, am I missing something?

Did you also configure the dimmer in the Sensor rack as doubled? Does the doubling offset on the rack match the doubling offset of the console? Is it actually 256 or some other value?

As sk8rsdad said, you need to go into your settings on the CEM at the rack and set the dimmers that you're going to double to dimmer doubling. The older CEM's on the Sensor rack automatically set the B side of the Doubled Dimmer to A's DMX plus 256 with no way to change it. The newer CEM's allow you to set both the A and the B to whatever DMX channels you want.
