DMX Decoder Questions

Hello!

I work at a church as one of the tech directors and we are planning on implementing a new stage design soon. We want to give some Non Dmx LED strips DMX control using a 24 channel decoder and I was wondering if you all could help me with making sure the design I made will work. I have included my schematics, as well as links to the various items used. My main concern is that this will function, and work with a Jands Vista board.

I have not found a computer case yet, so if any of you know of a good one for this application then please let me know.

Thanks!

I wouldn't really worry about a computer case. It is just something that will contain the heat and get dust inside.

I have 50/50 led tape running from my expression3 so a JV should be fine.

Just make sure you address the decoders properly and soft patch the dim/dmx to whatever channel you want it to and Bobs your uncle.

A couple of comments

Look carefully at your power requirements. The supply you are using only has 30 amps at 12 volts. Is this less than the LED load?

You don't need the tape with controller package. You will not be replacing that controller with yours

You will need some connectors to get from the tape to wires
