A method of using multiple display devices (usually video projectors) to create a single large image. Edge blending may be included as a feature of the projectors, as part of a media server, or as presentation display system.
Edge blending solves two problems: 1) Multiple, smaller, less-expensive projectors can be used, and 2) Less throw distance is needed, which is often a problem in theatres when using rear projection.

See Edge Blending | Christie Technology Movie for more.

Collage Generator™ is a proprietary scheme by Barco/HES for its DL.2 and DL.3 digital lighting fixtures.

One popular presentation display system: Barco/Folsom Blend-ProII. Another is Vista Systems Spyder .
