Control/Dimming Element Cue Problems

We have an Element 1 in our theatre. I ran into this issue a while back, but it has come up again. We have a house settings file that gets used to create our show files by doing a Save As... and renaming the file. A teacher did that today to create a show file for some students. Then they went ahead and set some cues. They closed that file and went back into the House Settings file and the cues that they had just created in the other file were also in the House Settings file. They deleted those cues, but when they went to their show file the cues were also deleted there.
Anyone know what it going on and how do I fix that?
We did have this happen before but I don't recall what solved the problem.

Out of curiosity is the show file name changing when saving at the top of the screen? It sounds to me as though you're not actually working in the show file you think you are.

Save As *Show Name* (open) *Show Name*

I suspect what happened was that the new show was created, but was not open, your show settings file was edited and then when opening the "new name" show file you were now in the actual "new name" show where no cues had been created.
