ellipsoidal component compatibility

Has anyone tried using a Lightronics lens tube on an ETC ellipsoidal, or vice versa? I know a lot of people frown on using Lightronics products in general, but ETC-level optical precision isn't quite as high a priority for me as it is traditional theatrical applications. So if I can save a few bucks ...

Edit: I shouldn't imply Lightronics optical quality is less than ETC, since I've not seen them side by side.

Don't worry, because the majority of people here can without question tell you that Lightronics has a lower optical quality than ETC.
