Anyone out there have a Device Profile for an Intellabeam HX700 in 13 channel mode?

I realize this is something I can make myself, but I'm still learning our new ION and I'm trying to avoid having to build my own profile while I'm still learning the ins and outs of the board.

    Thanks!

Email ETC - they can hook you up with a profile.

I reached out to ETC, but no luck... They didn't have one :-(

Does anyone know if there's a way to base a custom fixture profile off of a built-in one?

I can't help as I don't have an Ion, but how hard can it be to build a 13 channel profile? It can't take that much time, and would be a good thing to know how to do. You can't really screw things up by doing it.

Entering the massive frame tables for the 13ch Ibeam profile really, really sucks. I know because I've had to do it.

Hop over to the ETC forums and see if they can cook something up for ya. Here's the EOS/ION forum: The Eos (and Ion) Forum - Electronic Theatre Controls

I have yet to figure out how to copy a profile in order to edit the copy of it. That would be nice.

What happened to the days of putting in the parameter and just telling the desk how many steps? I am going to miss my Strand 500s for a little while when we upgrade. Anyway....

There is a way to copy profiles, I was shown it during an Eos demo. However, if you hop over to the ETC forums, just get in touch with David Smith (he's an ETC guy) or Mike McBride (manger of one of the largest Eos installations and Eos SN: 0001) They will be able to tell you!

I've always found that writing profiles for the Ibeams in 13ch mode to be a bit of an adventure of figuring out what your console will do at different levels. Or maybe it's just that all of our 15+ year old ibeams are just a bit flaky. I've re-written our Obsession profile before, and written one from scratch for the ION that we demo'd.

I need to make some profiles for a Coemar Super Cyc, and iWash575EB soon, where on ETC's website is the profile editor, or is in in the board itself?

Profiles for Ion/Eos need to be written from within the console (or offline editor) itself. It's not that hard to do.

what pie means to ask for is any documentation on writing a profile for the console. i have the offline editor open on my laptop attempting to write in whilst the master electrician stews upstairs. the last console i've done this on was my beloved strand 550i, so keeping in mind that's the board i have floating around in the back of my head while trying to write a profile for the coemar iwash 575 eb for the eos, is there anyone who can direct me to a bit of advice? I've searched the eos manual fro the word "profile" and it doesn't exist in the document according to adobe.

any help, of course, would be greatly appreciated.

What version of software are you running? If possible, I suggest upgrading to the latest version (1.4.5). That being said, there is a Fixture Creator that allows you to build your own fixtures that can be patched within your show. Keep in mind that these are stored within the show file and are not written to the Fixture Library (That way if you were to edit a fixture, you still have the factory written copy to revert to should something not work). You are able to import fixtures from other shows however, so creating a default show that has all of your custom fixtures might not be a bad idea.

The process for using the Fixture Creator is a bit too long to copy and paste here, but it is in the Version 1.4 manual for both Eos and Ion

Eos Manual Printed Page 79 (Adobe Page 93)

Ion Manual Printed Page 76 (Adobe Page 90)

    Hope this helps!
