According to the podcast estimates are that 20% to 40% of technicians left the industry during the shut down. Many of them were highly skilled veterans. So now we are short of hands and people with less knowledge and experience are being promoted into more important roles than they would have been given in the before times. That leaves us with significant safety challenges. It was well worth listening to.

I know the hundred new hires we just picked up this summer skew extremely green. Like, to the point of having NO experience at all.
