It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden passing of ESTA's
longtime Secretary, Erik Magnuson, on Thursday, November 30th. Erik
was the owner of The MAGNUM Companies, Ltd. in Atlanta, GA.

A memorial service has been scheduled for Sunday, December 10th from
2-5pm at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, 1345 Piedmont Ave NE in
Atlanta.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the
new industry charity Behind the Scenes
(http://www.estafoundation.org/bts.htm), or to the Appalachian Trail
Conservancy.

Erik served as ESTA's Secretary since 1989. His contributions to the
Association are immeasurable. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Linda, his son Todd and
daughter Ingrid, and with the staff of The MAGNUM Companies.
