Equipment Smarter Than Operator, aka (Operator Error). When gear does not operate as the user expects, it might be bad gear, but is more likely that
the user needs to RTFM, and does not understand procedures.
In such a case, when the question is asked "What's wrong with that **** light board?", the correct answer is: "It's a headphone short."
Recently, a friend who has much Hog experience was learning the grandMA with others said, "We played 'stump the console.' I found at least five things the Hog could do the grandMA can't." I gently explained to him that he was, at best, playing 'stump the student,' as there's nothing the Hog can do that the grandMA cannot.
