Control/Dimming ETC Express: adding a submaster effect to a cue

Hi!
I've got an ETC Express 48/96 and I can't seem to figure out how to get this to work:

1) I've created an effect and assigned it to Sub 24. This is working. When I bring up Sub 24, the effect is running as a continuous loop. Great!
Now I want to incorporate this effect into a standard cue:
2) I set up my whole look: multiple channels each at a certain level, plus Sub 24 at, say 50%, to add the effect. Everything is as it should be: all the static channels are steady, and my Sub 24 effect is running. Still great!
3) I record this as Cue 10.

But when I play back Cue 10, there is no effect, it seems to "start" applying the effect of Sub 24, then it just stops. So how do I get a cue to play my Sub 24 effect until the next cue?

I'm sure it's a simple solution, but I can't seem to find any explanation on how to actually do it.

Please help,
Eric

You can't have the sub at 50%. You need to write macros to SubBumpOn or SubBumpOff and link those to the cue.
