Favourite CAD program

I am sure I have seen this on the forum before, but I searched and couldn't find it, so.....

What CAD program do you prefer? This year my school is getting the Learn version of WYSIWYG and I am planning on getting to educational report version, so that the two are compatible, I just wondered whether anyone else prefered any other and preferably cheaper CAD software.

Thanks for your help.

Are you talking about a lighting design program or just a drafting program?

well, on the computer that i am sitting at right now there is a 2000 version of autocad. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of your newer programs, but it does the job.

If you want to do plots, vectorworks is the way to go... and wysiwyg comes in a close second.... very few designers use AutoCAD alone, if they do use AutoCAD they use autoblock or LD assistant with it
