The lightwright vs. is standard in the industry, you will find most or all focus charts are finalized in lightwright.
The trick is to
lay out focus tape so you get co-ordinates. So when your designer is focusing the light you note where they stand on a
grid; lets say 1,A then you record that. Next you need to note how the
fixture is focused and then note any shuter cuts.
Lightwright lets you do all of this and you can draw the
shutter cuts it also lets you keep all your documentation
in one place. So im not to sure what you dont like about it. More info would be necessary to help you out.
One other thing is always as the
ALD do focus charts as the focus is hapening. Aswell do it by
hand first on sheets of paper its quicker and you can make updates quickly. Then input it into lightwright.
