Our theatre company was just denied a large grant that would have allowed three 8,000 lumen projectors to light a 30' by 10' high Rosebrand Aglow screen (from a backstage distance of 10 feet)
Because our budget is now down to under $10,000 , we're looking at using three 70 degree source 4's and using Gam Film Fx Gobo Rotators that would be changed out during the show to create several effects.
My Question - Is there a way to determine that our alternate plan with source 4's will provide the same amount of lumens as the 8K projectors? Because our budget got slashed we're okay going with the limited images provided by Gam film loops.
A second question, are there other Film Fx rotators on the market?
