GE sells the lighting division

GE is selling the business that was started by Thomas Edison 129 years ago. It only made $95 billion in revenue last year. It's not readily apparent what GE does anymore, other than sell off appendages. I guess that makes the stock holders happy, and the current management will be gone when there's nothing left of the company to sell.

From the article "Lighting represented a tiny fraction of GE’s $95 billion in revenue last year, so small that GE lumped it into “corporate revenues” and didn’t publicly break out lighting as its own division. " So the 95 billion number is for GE as a whole, not just the lighting division. GE still makes jet engines, wind turbines, and hospital equipment.
