Gel Frames not fitting in Source 4ward Lenses

I've only experienced this at schools, but aren't the 70 and 90 degree source four frames larger than the regular 19-50? Not sure about the 14 degree size.

Yes, the 14, 70, and 90° take a 7.5"sq frame. And to further complicate matters, the 50° LED tube is 7.5"sq, while the incandescent is 6.25"sq.

The newer XDLT lens tubes for the Lustr Series 3 use 7.5" gel frames for the entire 26-36-50-70 degree range. The 14 and 19 degree lens tubes take a 10" gel frame.

Of course, by this point in time, it's just diffusion, not gel, but it's going to take a while before "media holder" replaces "gel frame" in theater lingo.

Doubtless everyone is just jumping at the opportunity to replace a two-syllable name for a common widget with a five-syllable one!
