Global differences in types of lighting instruments

The concept is, you DON"T re-hang much, thus the weight is less an issue. If your plot has a goodly number of zooms, you don't need to.
If you have the time to re-hang, you probably have the time to swap out lenses to whatever the designer specified (Though when I do re-hangs, I just move around my zooms).

I don't know about you, but we certainly don't impose upon our lighting designers to use the same plot for each show. Every show is unique, thus we re-hang all the time.

Sure, if you use a rep plot, Zooms might be great, but for us, not so much.

Yeah, LDtheLD and Alex have it correct, as I too rehung the so-called "rep" plot for 6 or so major events this year. Maybe 'cause our crew has been hanging nothing but zooms for years that nobody knows to complain, LOL.

Still, NO BARRELS TO CHANGE !.
