A measurement tool to ensure that crimps made by a swage tool are being made properly. Each is unique to the tool, and cannot be interchanged.

Kids, everyone, sing this little ditty with me.
    Get yourself the proper gauge,
    Before you make another swage.

    It ain't on the
    stage.*

*From one of the original stage managers, when speaking of the A Chorus Line bible, aka "How to reproduce the show, so every national company and bus & truck tour looks exactly as Michael Bennett intended."
