Gum on Shoe Trick

[Lighting/Scenic Designer]

We are doing Murder on the Orient Express and Poirot has a "gum on his shoe" bit. Does anyone have an idea of what to use that's sticky, but won't mess up the shoes, etc...?

Those sticky gummy hands. However they do look like hands so if it’s studio theater it might be a little obvious

Use a kneeded erasure from an art supply store. It has a bit of a tack, but doesn't stain. You'll find it here --
