heat gun

Do you want a really nice professional or something that will make heat. If you want something heavy duty, go to a floor covering supply house and get one from them. If you are looking for something lighter to do heat shrink then an electrical supply or a big box like Lowe's.

The heat gun I use is a Weller (or Ungar) 6966C. I use it mostly for shrinking heat shrink insulation. Small, lightweight, quick heat up, small heat spot. I've seen them used on ebay for $50. New like $125. (Amazon has them). This is a pro tool for electronics work.

Ditto on the Master Appliance Mite for electronics use. I have gone through many other brands and models over the years, and the Mite has lasted longer and taken more abuse. The others didn't come close.

For very high heat and volume, the Master model is great. I have my Dad's, which is at least 40 years old and it still works great.

The only one I have experience with was made by Milwaukee, and it worked fine.
