So I am very happy to be here. Abel to talk with others in the staging industry. I am a stagehand from NY. I am a freelancer with nearly nearly 10 years experience. I do a lot of lighting, also sound. I am not in love with either profession, (at heart I am a guitar player), but none the less there is no other job I'd rather have than in entertainment and technology. I find the work itself fun and interesting, the people it attracts are just as interesting and it's one of the few work environments I find that will let me be who I am.
Of late I have decided to give the Unions here in NYC a go. Also I have took it upon myself to become etcp certified. I can't wait to hear some of your experiences and insights on these things. I have already read so much, and I hope my insights may be of use to any of you.
