Good I sent an e-mail explaining to my purchasing guy how the HPL is a superior lamp and also went over the idea of wanting all my instruments to use the same lamp for stocking purposes. Just got word back that those two facts together work to allow me to specify HPL only. Hurray! Oddly the fact that we already own 16 S4 Zooms doesn't help at all but lamp stocking purposes does. So I think I'm in pretty good shape as far as lighting specs. I've got to talk to the folks at LEX about if they have any patents or special traits to their DMX cable and socapex... but that's about it.
