I am a high school student (freshmen) and I have been doing stage lighting for the last three years at my church. I joined this forum becuase my high schools system is old and VERY unreliable esspecially compared to my church (at church we have a Grand MA full size controller, and at school an old Strand Lightboard M). anyway so happy to have this, and I am looking forward to using it!

Welcome aboard.

Here's a small bit of advice in regards to your school's clunker of a lighting system. Be glad that you're being exposed to a less than state of the art system early on your life as a tech. Your experiences in dealing with that old system, assuming you have an instructor who is both willing to, and capable of teaching you how to troubleshoot the system when things go wrong, will be invaluable if you choose to pursue theatre as a career.
