Hey there, newbie here, What is the difference between gaff tape and duct tape?

I kid, I kid, everyone knows Gaff vs Duct, just wanted to stir things up a bit. I haven't dove into this site much yet. Just a few clicks here and there. I don't really have any questions yet, just wanted to say hi, I exist. I am a junior in HS, Just closed our fall play Radium Girls, of which I was the SM, I am about to embark on ME, and Sound is next on my list. I have dabbled in props, set construction, and fly rail operation. I fell in love with tech when I joined the "easy A" Class ln my Sophomore year, and was thrown into props first semester... Still relatively new to the whole thing, but experienced enough to be one of the "senior techies" in the class. Well, enough about me, time to go delve into the deep dark abyss of the control booth!

One thing that makes it different is the formulation of the adhesive. Gaffer tape is made to be easily removable, duct tape is not. The fabric backing is another difference.

Did you get your "easy A"?
