Also known as a "Hot Work Permit," a permission granted by an AHJ of facility supervisor that allows a worker to perform work that creates flame, sparks, excessive heat, or smoke, such as welding, grinding, cutting, etc. The permits are used to track this type of work that typically creates an increased risk or danger in a workplace. Hot permits often require additional safety protocols such as a fire watch, and have a stated duration, starting time and ending time.
