Hey guys
I am an undergrad from Mumbai, India and am planning to pursue MS in Lighting/ Lighting Design for fall 15 in the US. I am pretty much interested in more than what just is the face of all the dance music festivals e.g ULTRA, Tomorrowland, EDC, Coachella, Future Music, etc. that happen around the world. The lighting intrigues me and that is exactly what I want to do. Festival Lighting. Its a little obscure when it comes to which degree should I pursue. Should I take up MS in Lighting/Interior Lighting Design from unis like RPI, NYSID, etc. which include lighting design and then take up a certificate course that specializes in entertainment technology (lighting design) and then apply to companies like AG, mandylights, PLSN etc. In the meanwhile learn the concert lighting softwares. Will this process guarantee a job ? It would really be helpful if someone could shed some light .
