I'm new to lighting but I have an obey 40 with 10 x slimpar 56. I've been able to get 8 to work correctly but when i have a 9th added, the ones from 3-8 stop responding to the board. It seemed like a signal degradation thing at first but I hooked up the 10th light and it worked. In summary:
All 10 connected, lights 1, 2, 3, 9, 10 work
Only 8 connected, all work
All set to 7 channel 1, also tried setting each to it's own fixture to be able to control each independently, as per the manual, at 1, 17, 33, 49...
Set the user channel to 0 for RGB as this guide said
