I come from video engineering, working on film and commercial sets for a decade now. My experience also includes professional A/V installations at broadcast venues, post facilities and studios across L.A. Any professional, serious community in the A&E field is a treasure, so I was happy to find ControlBooth.
More specifically, I've been doing TD work on small live streaming productions, where we come in day-of, set up shop, shoot and wrap. This requires tight integration with the venue, from power requirements to augmenting the lighting setup. So I've been catching up on matters like the basics of working a grandMA, Bates types etc. All the more reason to be here.
