Led mr11 ( or mr 16 ) in Altman zip strips?

I have Two mr 11 zip strips as lighting over my kitchen counter. The heat of the lamps pretty quickly destroy the sockets.

has anyone tried LED lamps in these fixtures? IE could you put 10 of these in series across 120 volts and have it work?

I know the dimming curve would suck. im willing to accept that if I can stop replacing sockets.

Is there a 12 volt in either ?. I wouldn’t do either, LED’s do not “resist” the way an incandescent does, and I’m certain you’ll fry the lamps.

@SteveB Understood but at least @JChenault would achieve his goal of neither destroying nor replacing sockets.
Know when your legs are being pulled MERCILLESSLY. Next time I'll pull your other legs to restore your normal gait.
Trade offs; there are always trade offs.

Yes there are 12 volt units. I just have no idea if there is a resistive load on the units. If no one has done it I may give it a shot just for grins.
