elated to another thread I recently posted, I've figured out what equipment we will be using. Not 100% sure on how to hook it up it's a single color LED strip.
LED strip has 2 wires, red and black. Controller is going to be a Chinly 24 channel. Controller outputs are set up for RGB so V+, R,G,B. Controller has 8 outputs like that.
I'd like the channel numbers to be consecutive if possible(using 4 or 5 separate strips). To do so it seems like I'd just hook V+ and R, to the first one, V+ and G, to the second and so on. That would result in 3 strips sharing a V+. Not sure if that is an OK thing
The other option would be to connect the strips to the V+ and R of different groups. The result would be the channel numbers being 3 apart(i.e. 121, 124, ect). I'm aware I could soft patch the board but I try to avoid making those changes in this space.
