Control/Dimming Legrand Ground Continuity Monitoring Connectors

So I recently discovered that these exist. These plugs and connectors have red and green LED's in them. Green indicates properly wired/ground continuity, red led indicates some sort of wiring issue. Now, I've always been a fan of the extension cords with a neon power indicator molded into the female end, as they are useful to keep around as a 'known hot' circuit for tools and testing. A novel idea, however, I'm not really sure I need my entire rig glowing with these. Thoughts? They come in several flavors, not just 5-15.

I see it for for outdoor power runs then you know everything is properly grounded and wired, especially when using GFCI's.

BTW, GFCI's don't need a ground to function properly and safely.

Instead of buying many expensive plugs, buy one outlet checker, such as those made by Ideal, for for about $10. But, understand the limitations of such devices. There is a good thread in the sound area on Reverse Polarity Bootleg Ground. No pass/fail checker will properly indicate the RPBG condition, so it is still possible to get shocked on a "passed" circuit.

Maybe if you're going to use them for a break in/out on a socapex run to help identify which circuits are hot and/or identify where you may have dead pin inside your run; but as far as having one on each and every cable, that just seems like too much money (We have these plugs as well, they expensive little buggers), and just too much random dots.. Just my opinion though!
