Automated Fixtures Light Palette and Studio Spot

I work at a community college, we have a Strand Light Palette VL, and 3 older model Studio Spot 575's. They each have 2 wheels of color, and 2 gobo wheels. (non-CMY) I can control both wheels on the fixtures, so I know the motors etc are working; however the console only gives control to 1 color wheel, and 1 gobo wheel.
Is there another profile I need to download onto the console or a better way to patch the Studio spot? Any suggestions?

Hmm, odd. Does the console's fixture personality profile use 24 channels? It must, or other parameters would be mapped to the wrong encoders.

Page 2-2 of http://www.highend.com/pub/products/automated_luminaires/StudioSpot/manual/sspot575.pdf talks about the interaction of the two wheels, but I don't recall ever having to worry about that on the HogII.

Someone from Strand should be along shortly. If this is a time-sensitive issue, phone 24/7 Tech Support at 1-800-4STRAND. You might also try posting at strand-dev.com • View forum - Operational Issues .

Humor me here, but have you tried pressing the Color or Gobo key a second time?

Assuming you have, and the profile just doesn't show up right, try going into Patch, and selecting Patch By Output, that will let you compare the channel patch to what Derek has posted.

To access control of the second gobo or color wheel you need to press the color or gobo button a second time, like Lotos was getting at. You will notice once you have press either the color or gobo button, it will change from C1 (Color Wheel 1) or G1 (Gobo Wheel 1) to C2 (Color Wheel 2) or G2 (Gobo Wheel 2).

If you want to learn more about how to control moving lights using a Light Palette, I have attached a link below to some videos on the Palette OS software. Thanks.

This did it. I thought I had tried, but apparently I was simply not paying attention. This works. Thank you for the help and information.
