Looking for Non-Flickering LED Tape solution

Every month, my Church puts on large scale events, each month themed differently. This challenges me to not always have the same lighting design as the month before it. My first idea is to create a box with LED tape inside and have it powered through a driver so I can control it from my console. My worry is having any flickering being capture on our cameras. Someone mentioned setting up the cameras a curtain way to prevent this, but I don't know if I could make that happen in communication to our camera team. These were the things I was looking at for the build

The power/converter (which could be the source of the problem) -

Any flickering coming from dimmable LEDs will be, largely, coming from the PWM rep rate of the LEDs, which is a direct effect of the controller chip in the package, generally a WS2811/2, or one of the other 3 or 4 families of such LED/Chip assemblies. It is, TTBOMK, not something you can control; you can only try specific ones and see. 400Hz is *usually* fast enough, though whip-pans will still see it; those aren't real common on-air in that environment.

If you're jump-changing patterns in the strip on-air, then the frame rate will be an issue as well, of course.

The one thing that causes flick of LED tape on camera is the PWM frequency as Jay said. If you get something with a low PWM frequency the chance for flicker is higher. The same can be said for faster PWM frequencies if it matches the frequency of the camera or is a harmonic of the frequency of the camera. That being said your best bet is to get something with an adjustable PWM frequency.

The other issue I see here is the power supply you have listed will only power 1' of the LED tape. You will need a larger power supply. If you would like to give me a call at 201-549-1160 I can give you some pointers about your project.
