Luminosus and ETCnomad Puck

I run a program called luminosus on a laptop with a MIDI controller connected to it (AKAI APCmini) and connect the laptop wirelessly to an ETCnomad Puck. The problem is that luminosus often freezes (It seems to freeze when I'm moving more than 1 fader at a time on the MIDI controller).
I'm wondering about solutions to Luminosus freezing. I could try connecting the laptop running luminosus to the same network as the Nomad Puck with an ethernet cable (rather than wirelessly doing it). However, I've had Luminosus freeze when I'm editing shows offline as well as when I'm working with the ETCnomad Puck.

I don't know specifics about this but I know a lot of people use OSC and similar programs to Luminosus with MIDI controllers (and custom keyboards and controllers) and post on the ETC Nomad and EOS facebook groups. You could try searching there for answers or alternatives. You'll know you're in the right group when you see about 1/3 of all the posts are pictures of custom control rigs.
