Making a Pantograph or Stereopticon

Working on a project for home, the Drafting arm was not enough to rig it from the garage lighting grid. Two pages of text from today in what found, but I will refine shorter. It's going to be four sided but smaller 4" bar in concept in trying. Kind of a hybrid between the two versions, in me panning to use standoffs between spacers North/South for one side but not the East/West. Have not figured out head blocks yet.

News... a 3/8-16 tap will work in converting the ID of a drafting arm to a 1/2 Cheseborough mounting. Need some added standoffs for support.

Basic Scissors assembly part was easy and in a way fun. Stiff in movement, but not too stiff. Witness markes were aligned and opposed per side. Pandemic problem... our primary Laith operator is laid off or retired. Our secondary is backlogged in work.

I have Dremmel metal cutting wheels and grinding bits. Believe I also have some form, a multi-tool kit some formrouter stand for the Dremmel. (Have to find it in never used or useful before.) Got my holes drilled in removing material from the expansion/contraction of the pantograph, just need to cut it's slot in it's mounting. Never done this, advice?
