Microphones Mic Bolt 5/8"-27 Where Do I Get One

Hello All,

I'm working on a Microphone Mount for a shotgun mic for my Sound Supervisor. Our intention is to use a U-bolt that has a small piece of plywood attached to it to act as our mount. We then wanted to take a mic clip with a 5/8-27 female thread and just get a 5/8-27 bolt to go thru the plywood to mount it. However as it turns out the 5/8-27 bolt is super elusive. Does anyone or has anyone every bought one? I can't find it on McMaster or Sweetwater etc.... It seems the only thing in existence are adapters from 5/8-27 to 3/8-16 or other sizes. Yes this would work, but I just want a 5/8-27 bolt, is it really that hard to find one? Thanks everyone.

What does the 5/8"-27 bolt do for you that the the 5/8"-27 to 3/8"-16 adapter and a 3/8" bolt don't?

You could buy a 5/8"-27 die from mcmaster-carr if you really must have the bolt.

Why are you doing it the hard way? Just use a standard mic-clip flange mount.
