would anyone know the brand / model of the microphone used in the Les Miserables concert i believe that it is also used in many awards shows.

Yes, they are Schoeps, although I couldn't tell you the specific model. If you do a search on the Theatre-Sound List, I believe there was a discussion at some point a few years back when one of the awards shows from Radio City used them on rigs rising out of the stage.
