Control/Dimming Microplex to DMX?

I'm looking for a little help with how my current rig will work if I upgrade to a DMX based control program. My current board (Leprechaun 624) runs on a microplex setup (I have a total of 5 dimmer packs, 3 - 4 channel and 2 - 6 channel for 24 total). Is there a way I can run my current lights/dimmer packs off Emulation software as well as adding additional LED fixtures in the future? Do I need some sort of converter between the computer DMX output and my existing dimmer packs? If so what should I be looking for?

Many of the NSI dimmers have an upgrade kit that switches them to the DMX protocol. Might be cheaper if these are NSI packs.

Go with the converter made by DMX-tools (available on eBay). I have been using one of his converters for ~5 years with absolutely NO issues. It is simple to setup & reasonably priced.

If anyone does end up contacting DMXtools (who was once quite active on CB) tell him to stop by one in a while.
