Needing a new strobe

I am in need of a medium-sized strobe for concert lighting. Presently using the American DJ Mega-Flash DMX, which is OK, but not bright enough for every venue I find myself in.
Alternatives I have tried are the Blizzard Lighting Snowblind- I found this to be very comparable to the ADJ unit, and the Elation Protron 3K. I love the Protron but it is a bit bright for some of the smaller venues (found myself running it at 40-50%).

Is there any other product here in the sub $900 price range that I am missing which would be right in the middle with intensity?

The Protron does have a low power mode you could try. You could check out the Chauvet Strike line as well. Some of my friends like the megalite LED strobe as well.

On that tangnet, what is out there in LED or Xenon that is a near equivalant to a 2KW Diversitronics in terms of intensity and color temp?

That's funny, I just left a vm for Diversitronics at (312)587-0197 yesterday, yet no one has returned my call.

Perhaps they are out of business. (?)
