Opp vs Op

Ok, clearly there is a right way and a wrong way. I'm going with Op. Thanks all! Have a lovely Labor Day weekend!!!

The right way is to communicate clearly and succinctly, especially in written agreements. "Operator" does that very well. I'm afraid "txt"ing, emoticons, and similar short cuts and verbal laziness may result in unexpected and bad consequences. This is especially so since we are in the business of storytelling, through words, music, movement, and images.

The proper Abbreviation for Operator it "Oper." So "Op" would be the closest to being correct, in my book.

If you forced me I would use Op, but normally I would write out Operator.

Joining the 'it is a contract, do not abbreviate it, use operator.
If you absolutely must... Spell it out operator (hereafter 'op').
