Opp vs Op

The right way is to communicate clearly and succinctly, especially in written agreements. "Operator" does that very well. I'm afraid "txt"ing, emoticons, and similar short cuts and verbal laziness may result in unexpected and bad consequences. This is especially so since we are in the business of storytelling, through words, music, movement, and images.
 
The proper Abbreviation for Operator it "Oper." So "Op" would be the closest to being correct, in my book.

Let's just say I ain't down with the Opp...

Joining the 'it is a contract, do not abbreviate it, use operator.
If you absolutely must... Spell it out operator (hereafter 'op').
But just... Don't.
