Control/Dimming Pc software dmx out over Ethernet port

Hi

We normally use an expression 3 board for choir concerts. Relatively simple lighting .... Max 48 s4's on 36 dimmers plus dmx in to house lights for another 50 channels.

we run dmx out to a goddard DMX-link. Ethernet out of dmx link to switch. Switch has Ethernet in and another Ethernet out that runs to dimmers ... 200ft. Before dimmers is another dmx link that then has dmx out to packs and to house light controller. Works fifine however need expression for theater peer at same time... Can we not run software that has dmx out via laptop Ethernet port... Put that directly into switch making with house Ethernet cable. Then just use the one DMx
link to convert to dmx for dimmers and house light controller

recommendatio?? Have no budget for... So just looking for software... Only runs 6-8 cues... Even general lighting throughout

There are a bunch of software products - free & cheap - that will do what you need - just do a search of these forums for "lighting control software" or similar. The only thing you should be looking for is Art-Net output, so you can hook the laptop directly into your control network and have it work with your existing DMX hub.
