Pin Spots

Just wanted to re-up this thread because I'm looking to get some pinspots and was looking to get some LEDs for it. Really want something with a lot of punch.

I haven't heard much about LED pinspots. I'm not sure they're renowned for their punch, though. Any particular reason you want to go with LED?

Bought 8 of these for a production of Jesus Christ Superstar to uplight some columns....Worked pretty well, but the collimation of the LEDs is not the best at close distance but acceptable at ~7-15'. Pretty bright and darn cheap. Ordered and received in 7 days with free shipping. One warning....of the 8, three (3) were non functioning when plugged in. Opened the power supply and found out one leg of the supply was not even soldered onto the incoming power connector. WTF? How does that leave the factory? Obviously, no visual check or power on check...

You answered that question with the $29.99 price tag and free shipping.

You were fortunate that all units were able to be used for your production, as such is not always the case with very inexpensive lights.

No looking for a LED Pinspot Fixture and wanted to find out if anyone has had success when solid fixtures.
