Orchestra Pit Filler. A false decking system that covers an orchestra pit in a theatre when not in use in its traditional sense. This provides for additional stage flooring space. Unlike an orchestra lift, a pit filler is supported with beams and / or bracing and has to be removed and reinstalled manually.
