The Installation of Theatrical lighting globes is vitally important as if a globe is not put in correctly the lifetime of that globe can be significantly shortened and if that globe blows up then the instrument it is placed it may be damaged also.

During the installation of the globe you must always aim to not touch the glass part of the globe and only touch the bottom section of the globe commonly called the "ceramic." On the ceramic part of the globe it also gives you information about the type of globe and the wattage, you are aiming to replace globes with the same type so its always good to check you have chosen the right one.
