A common style of cotter pin used in rigging to keep clevis pins in place. Popular on touring shows because of easy installation (no bending), easy removal (again no bending), and being reusable engagement after engagement.

Does the "R" come from "retaining," or because the clip is shaped like an "R" ?:confused:
