    Hi,

At our college our theatres house lights are used by rapid control systems.
We have a EBR-DIN-LCM5-5 which I presume is the main point of the system and a EBR-4SC as the control point in the control box (its a scene plate panel). What I've noticed is that most of the control system is used over cat5.

Is it possible to convert any of this into dmx with an encoder (or maybe Dali), ive had a look online and I can see that its run over cat5.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

You may want to reach out to Rapid for more information. At a quick glance, it looks like the EBR-DIN-LCM5-5 can control DALI fixtures, but it's not clear whether communication between that and the scene panel is also DALI or something proprietary. I'd suspect the latter. They may have another interface module that would do what you want.

Also, DALI isn't very popular in these parts. It might be worth throwing this out on https://www.blue-room.org.uk/ to see if anyone there has experience with these products.
